Laughter is the spice of life

Especially when milk is the only food you consume!!

Every time we try to record Leah laughing, right before we turn the camera on, she inevitably decides she is done laughing.  

But we got some good screeches and yes, a few laughs here for readers to see and hear.

Thanksgiving Day photos

Sure, sure Christmas is two days away but here are some great Turkey Day photos never to be seen (unless you took them and/or your name is Helen) until NOW!!

Leah has this great playmat we finally took out so she could. 

. . what else!?. . . PLAY!!

A friend with an infant who visited us said, 'This is quite the aesthetically pleasing playmat.  We are going to get one with ABCs so Junior can learn his ABCs.'

Our retort?

'Well, with this one, Leah will learn to say "aesthetically pleasing".'

Here's Leah on her new hand-made quilt (Thanks, Erin!!) and with her new teething toy - Sophie, the French Giraffe. (we didn't name her, she came with a name and heritage all on her own).

Leah loves 'em both.

On another note, Leah rocked out at yoga class today. She was on her tummy, loving it and lifted her arms and legs showing us her best Pilates moves. Or her Superman.

Step away from the camera

This post is kinda why digital video recorders aren't that great. They may just be TOO user-friendly and easy to use. 

You (As in "one."   One parent of an almost 4 month old, let's say) tend to just decide to record without a plan, just on a whim and with no goal for the video.   

Then you decide each one is just as cute as the next and you must - MUST-  post each and every one. 

Now, don't get us wrong, we love each and every recorded moment of our Leah but we are not so sure each and every one of these moments (some contrived) need to be documented for her to view when she is older.  But who knows, she may just thank us. 

In that case, future Leah - you are very welcome.  And WE LOVE YOU.

Thanksgiving Day videos

Leah celebrated her first Thanksgiving at Cousins Helen and Gary's house with a record 35 people!  It was lots of fun and she really was great given the large amount of people, noise, and handling.  She even slept soundly in the middle of the room while we all schmoozed and ate and drank. 

At the end of the night she was in her PJs and her car seat getting ready to leave when her and Cousin Jackie (almost one year old) had a nice conversation in baby talk with many on-lookers.  Jackie was so sweet - she noticed Leah sucking on her own fingers and hand throughout the day so she stuck her index finger in Leah's mouth in case she wanted to try!!
