Updates via video
On her five month birthday, what better way for our social butterfly to celebrate than to start her two-day a week day care experience?! She met some new people and made some new friends. We can't wait till she learns some new tricks from the older kids!!

Will travel for latkes
We made a trek today to visit our family in Westchester. We took the subway to the train to the car to the house to attend a (belated) Hanukkah party at Gary and Helen's.
We made the trek and we documented it.
On the subway.

In Grand Central (Leah's first visit)

On the Metro North train

In cousin Jackie's jumperoo (thanks for letting Leah try it out, Jackie!)

And making all the travel worth it. . .hanging with Gary. And the latkes, too (not shown here).

These photos have no blog title.
Words. . . just . . . cannot. . . express. . .
We think this outfit deserves something else. . . a trip to the North Pole? Alaska? Too bad Leah will have grown out of her Red Penguin suit before she can go sledding in Prospect Park next winter!!

Flying Blocks and Rolling Baby
Leah has reached another milestone.
She rolled from her back to her tummy (and from her tummy to her back) once. . . about a month ago. . . never to do it again. . . until the last few days.
Now she is a rolling maniac and it is rolling mania over here at our house.
Take a look. And please notice the flying block in the first video. We may have missed the roll but we got the Flight of the Cushy Block. (A second viewing with no sound is recommended to get the full experience)
Go, Bananas. . . Go Go Bananas!!!
B-A-N-A-N-A-S!
Go Bananas, Go Go Bananas!!
To celebrate Dad's birthday last week, we let Leah taste some food. Did you guess what we chose for her?!
She tried banana. It didn't go over too well. Mainly because the banana wasn't too ripe. Oops.
The next day it was ripe & ready and she loved it!
Exhibit A. (or should we say B - for banana, of course!)

Where did she learn this?
I guess from one of her baby friends?!
Leah can hold her bottle now.
Her skill repertoire keeps growing and growing!!
Here she is showing off with Harley after New Year's Day brunch.
